Past
The birth of Gom has everything to do with the daring for which a city like Rotterdam is known. In 1966, Johan Geurts is a successful entrepreneur in cleaning products. When he was asked by the municipality of Rotterdam whether he could also clean schools, the bold answer was 'yes'.
The first contract for 20 schools and 30 municipal buildings is a reality for Gom, the Buildings Maintenance Company. As early as 1972, the company passes the 10 million guilder mark. And continues to grow.
